Oh, you think Tupac is the greatest?

When I started this blog, hate was a prominent emotion in my heart. It is still and I have not embraced it, I look for things that allow the hate in my heart go blossom. Some things are easier than others. One sure fire way to piss me off is hearing people argue who's better " PAC, Nas, or Big.  "

PAC fans kill me. Yes the man died like a G. If that's what you're into. By no means am I a PAC basher. He was a good artist and I have a few of his CDs. Come on though. PAC stans. A few hit songs doesn't make him the greatest rapper ever. He's not even top five and maybe not even top ten.
Where one places someone in their top ten is a personal decision. However, when people try to canonize PAC, that's when a problem starts. Granted he dis make great songs. "Dear Momma" and "Brenda's got a baby" are hip hop classic.
Too bad his crap songs were what seems to get most of the focus. "hit 'em up" is a crap diss song that sold only because it was the first of it's kind in he level of anger and passion in it. "I get around" is just a west coast version of every 2 live crew song ever. If that's what you're into, cool. Just stop trying to sell
Me on it being the best ever.
The rise of ignorant rap can be blamed on tupac as well. Waka whole style is a rip off of ignorant hood style of PAC. 50 Cent selling of him getting shot is drawn from te blueprint of pac's fuck the world mantra. It's like every young rapper that came from some so called struggle want to be the sell out mainstream version of PAC.  Not hating on that. Get your money man. Let's stop, however, try to make it that PAC was one type of man. He was a very complex individual and one thing he was doing was growing as a man. He died when he was 25 years old. So if you are one of Rhodes "Tupac is the greastest to ever do it" types, I hope you will grow and expand your mind like he did and was doing.
P.s. Before he got shot the first time, he was fucking Madonna after getting rejected by Janet Jackson. How you love that?
